I've always had a healthy craving to learn about the world, particularly the people and cultures within it. But I never really had a good tool to understand what I was seeing and hearing until I picked up a camera. All of a sudden, through the lens, I was able comprehend the world around me more clearly. Making a photograph forces me to slow down and study a scene, thus learning more about my subject all while making an impactful photograph. The world is the catalyst for my photography, and my pictures are the physical manifestation of my passion for life.
